Tennessee Reps Out Here Playin' Dirty: Breakin' Up Memphis to Shut Down Dem Voices
GOP tryna pull a fast one, usin' that weak Voting Rights Act to mess wit' the Black vote and keep the power.

Aight, so check it: Tennessee Republicans out here wildin'. They just passed this messed-up map that chops Memphis, aka Shelby County, into three different districts. Real talk, this ain't 'bout nothin' but tryin' to get rid of the one Democrat we got in the House. They tryna silence our voices, straight up.
Right now, Tennessee got eight Republicans and one Democrat holdin' it down. That district wit' Memphis? That's mostly Black folks. But these Republicans, led by Gov. Bill Lee, callin' special sessions and droppin' these maps after the Supreme Court done went and weakened the Voting Rights Act? That's some straight BS.
Rep. Justin Pearson from Memphis ain't holdin' back, callin' this map a “racist tool of white supremacy.” And he ain't lyin'. They tryna dilute the Black vote and make sure only Republicans get heard in D.C.
Trump been eggin' these cats on, tellin' 'em to redraw the maps before the midterm elections. It's all a power play, ya dig? And Gov. Lee signed a bill repealin' the law that said you can't redraw districts mid-decade. They changin' the rules to benefit themselves.
Louisiana and Alabama doin' the same thing – tryna get rid of those majority-Black, Democratic districts. They see an opportunity and they takin' it. Before the Supreme Court stepped in, Republicans only had a small advantage in this redistricting game. Now, they could double that. That's messed up.
That redistricting measure approved by voters in Virginia? It's fightin' for its life in court. But we gotta stay woke and fight back against this voter suppression. They ain't playin' fair, so we gotta be even smarter and louder. They tryna keep us down, but we ain't goin' nowhere. We gotta organize, mobilize, and make sure our voices are heard in every election, every time. No cap.
