Tehran Lookin' Good On the Surface, But Real Life Still Messed Up
Ceasefire gave the city a break, but folks still stressin' 'bout money and whether this peace gon' last.

Aight, so Tehran lookin' like it tryna bounce back after all that war biz, but don't get it twisted, ain't nothin' sweet 'bout the situation. They took down some checkpoints, yeah, and people back sippin' coffee and hittin' the park, but the real is real, and people still hurtin'.
Since they called that ceasefire, Tehran lookin' like how it used to. Coffee shops jumpin', parks full of families, musicians back makin' noise. But under all that, folks worried. Like, really worried. This ain't no fairytale.
See, that ceasefire shaky AF. U.S. and Iran already back at it in the Gulf, blockin' the Strait of Hormuz. Economic situation straight basura. People lost they jobs, and inflation through the roof. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) sayin' it could hit 70% this year. 70! That's wild.
Peep Sara, 24, art teacher. Lost her job when the war started. No income, no nothin'. Online job boards flooded, and ain't nobody lookin' for art teachers right now. Schools online, after-school programs closed. She stressin', for real.
Folks out here cuttin' back, doin' free stuff instead. Parks packed, restaurants empty. Bazaars poppin' 'cause people gotta buy the basics or try to hustle to survive. It's a struggle out here.
Sina, 25, jewelry maker in the Grand Bazaar, sayin' vendors closin' down left and right 'cause they can't make no money. Situation unstable, straight up. This ain't no joke. He tryna get that bag, but it's hard out here for a pimp.
Some folks back at work, though. Mohammad Reza, 32, Arabic teacher, back teachin' online. He say the students happy to be back, even if it's just on the screen. They tired of the war, just tryna get they knowledge up. Real talk.
Tuition fees goin' up at the private schools, but families still tryna invest in they kids' education. They know knowledge is power. Can't let the system hold you down.
Politics still grimey. They done executed over 20 people on national security charges since February. Most of 'em connected to them January protests. UN talkin' 'bout it, but it ain't stoppin' nothin'.
Iranian judiciary sayin' they gotta punish the criminals. But on the streets, people ain't even talkin' 'bout it. They too busy tryna survive. Understandable.
One woman say everybody tired and worried 'bout they bills. Straight up. Ain't nobody got time for politics when they stomach empty. Gotta get that bread, ya dig? That's the realest thing right now. This ain't no life, but it's the life we livin'. Keep ya head up, Tehran. One love.
