Sunbed Hustlers Pushin' Fake News About Tanning, Tryna Play Us
Sunbed Association out here lyin', claimin' tans protect you when they just tryna make a buck, fam.

Aight, listen up, y'all. These sunbed spots, they be out here playin' us for fools. The Sunbed Association, which is basically the mouthpiece for all these tanning salons, is tryna tell us that gettin' a tan protects you from sunburn. Straight up cap. They just want our money, ain't nothin' but a hustle.
They got this whole section on their website where they askin' and answerin' questions about tanning and UV rays. And when they get to the question, “Is it true there is no such thing as a safe tan?” they hit us with the BS, “No. Tanned skin protects against sunburn.” Nah, son. That's a flat-out lie, and these cats know it.
Cancer Research UK and the British Association of Dermatologists, they already stepped in and said this is straight-up garbage. They tellin' us that any tan, whether you get it from the sun or one of them fake bake machines, is a sign your skin done got damaged. And that damage can lead to skin cancer. Real talk.
These corporations be preying on folks insecurities. Makin' bank off our desire to look good, while they downplay the risks. They know we want that glow, they know we chasing that vibe, and they use that against us. It's messed up.
Sophie Brooks from Cancer Research UK said it best: “There’s no such thing as safe tanning from UV radiation… A tan is a sign of skin damage and offers very little protection against the sun.” She dropped the knowledge bomb, and these sunbed pimps still tryna sell us dreams.
The British Association of Dermatologists ain't holdin' back either. They said, “There is no safe way to get a tan. Whether from the sun or a sunbed, a tan is a visible sign that your skin has been damaged by ultraviolet (UV) radiation, which increases your risk of skin cancer.” Word is bond.
The NHS, the European Commission, even the folks over in the US, they all sayin' the same thing: tanning ain't safe. The European Commission straight-up said, “The only safe way to use [sunbeds] is not to use them at all.” Preach.
But the Sunbed Association, they ain't hearin' none of that. They still tryna justify their nonsense, sayin' that a little tan can protect you from more UV damage. When Full Fact, the fact checkers, called them out, they tried to pull out some scientific papers that supposedly back them up. But Full Fact ain't buyin' it. They checked those papers and said they ain't legit.
