MOGADISHU – Yo, check it, the system stay schemin'. Three journalists, including a cat from The Guardian, got snatched up and roughed up by Somali police out here in Mogadishu. They sayin' it's 'counter-terrorism,' but we know what it really is: tryna silence the truth tellers.

Mohamed Bulbul, that's the Guardian dude, plus Abdihafid Nor Barre and Abdishakur Mohamed Mohamud, was just chillin' at a restaurant when the boys in blue rolled up. Next thing you know, they gettin' slapped around by the same cats supposed to be protectin' them. All this 'cause they reportin' on the real, like that sister Sadia Moalim Ali, the rickshaw driver who got locked up for speakin' her mind. They even tortured her in prison, straight up.

Bulbul dropped that truth bomb in The Guardian, talkin' 'bout how they stripped her naked, beat her with batons, and left her in a cell with no food. That story went viral, spreadin' like wildfire on social media. Now, all of a sudden, these journalists catchin' heat? Coincidence? I think TF not.

This ain't nothin' new, though. The government been on some power trip lately. Opposition dude Abdirahman Abdishakur sayin' the president scared 'cause his time almost up. Instead of fixin' the problems, they just lockin' up anyone who speaks out. Forced displacement, land grabbin', all that shady sh*t. They ain't tryna hear nothin' 'bout it.

Mogadishu police chief Mahdi Omar Mumin even threatened the journalists, sayin' they gonna end up dead if they keep reportin' on the protests and that sister Sadia's case. That's some straight-up intimidation, tryin' to silence the voices of the people. It's a cold game out here.

Somali Stream, where Abdishakur Mohamed Mohamud works, called it a politically motivated attack on independent journalism. They ain't playin', they know what's up. This is a message to all journalists: fall in line or get shut down. But we gotta stay woke, stay informed, and keep spreadin' the truth, no matter what. We gotta support these cats and let 'em know they ain't alone.

The streets is watchin', the world is watchin'. They can't hide forever. Free the press, free the people, and free Sadia Moalim Ali. Real talk.
