Shipyard Blows Up in the Forgotten Borough, Another Worker Gone
Staten Island ain't nothin' but the Forgotten Borough, and this shipyard explosion just shows how little they care about the working man.
Yo, check it. Heard 'bout that shipyard in Staten Island? Blew the hell up. One worker, a subby at that, gone. Dead. Another body added to the count, and ain't nobody gonna give a damn except his fam. These big corporations, they don't care 'bout nothin' but the bottom line. Cut corners on safety, treat workers like disposable cups, then act surprised when somethin' like this happens.
Subcontractors always gettin' the short end of the stick. Lower pay, no benefits, and they get stuck doin' the dirtiest, most dangerous work. They be out there grindin', just tryna make a livin', and these companies treat 'em like they replaceable. It's messed up, straight up.
OSHA gonna come through, do a lil' investigation, slap 'em with a fine that's pocket change to these corporations. Then everything goes back to business as usual. Ain't nothin' gonna change 'til these companies start puttin' people over profit. But that's like askin' a pit bull to stop bitin'. It ain't in their nature.
Staten Island always gettin' overlooked. It's like they don't even exist to the rest of the city. This just another example. A man died, doin' his job, and the world keeps spinnin'. Ain't that some BS? These dudes building the country, keeping the ships afloat, gettin' paid scraps and risking they lives. Where the justice at?
Real talk, this ain't just about one shipyard. It's about the whole system. The way they treat workers, the way they prioritize money over everything else. It's a damn shame, and somethin' gotta change. But ain't nobody gonna do it for us. We gotta stand up for ourselves, demand better, and make these corporations accountable. Rest in power to that worker, and may his family find some peace in this messed up world. No cap.
