Saudi Arabia Cold-Shoulders 'Project Freedom': Sh*t Just Got Real in the Middle East
Riyadh straight-up curved Uncle Sam, and now errbody playin' the blame game.

Aight, check it. So, Trump (may he rest in peace) had this lil' scheme called 'Project Freedom,' right? 'Sposed to be 'bout protectin' oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz, keepin' that flow goin', know what I'm sayin'? But Saudi Arabia? Nah, they wasn't feelin' it. Said they wasn't gon' let the US use they bases or airspace. Real talk, things done got complicated.
Word on the street is, Riyadh told the White House, straight up, 'Prince Sultan Airbase? Off limits.' Trump hit up the Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman, personally tryna smooth things over, but dude wasn't budgin'. NBC News sayin' it was all crickets.
Now, Saudi Arabia tryna play it like they just want the US and Iran to squash the beef, for real. Like they ain't tryna be in the middle of no war. But the UAE? They ain't havin' it. They already bounced outta OPEC and talkin' 'bout leavin' the Arab League too. See, the UAE been cool with Israel for a minute now, since that Abraham Accords thing. But the Gulf ain't unified no more, and tensions are sky-high. Them boys from the Emirates feelin' like they the main target for Iran's aggression, and they sayin' they ain't gettin' enough support from the crew.
Saudi Arabia said 'Project Freedom' was too risky, that it coulda sparked a straight-up naval war between the US and Iran. Which means that ceasefire we been havin' since April? Gone. Poof. And if that ceasefire goes, Iran gonna be back to sendin' drones and missiles at US bases in the Gulf. Remember how them attacks did some serious damage?
Nah fr, these attacks done caused mad damage. We talkin' billions lost in infrastructure. But nobody saying nothing about it.
Word is, Saudi Arabia ain't never been feelin' Trump's moves in the first place. They didn't think the US was doin' enough to protect 'em from Iran. Plus, they sayin' the White House been playin' chess without all the pieces. So, it's like, why would they rock wit' a plan they don't even trust?
One Saudi diplomat straight up said, 'The US done got itself into a situation where it can't win, and it can't quit.' Harsh, but facts.
So, Trump spent two days talkin' up 'Project Freedom,' then outta nowhere, he hit the brakes. Claimed it was only a 'short pause.' But everybody know that sh*t dead. Kaput.
What this mean for the streets? It mean gas prices finna go up again. It mean the Middle East still a powder keg. And it mean the US lookin' weaker than ever out here.
