Galveston, TX – Aight, so check it. Eight folks, some of 'em kids from Energized for STEM Academy, was chillin' on the Iron Shark at Pleasure Pier when the ride straight up malfunctioned. They was stuck way up high, like 100 feet, for over three hours. Three. Whole. Hours. That ain't no quick lil' stop; that's a whole struggle.

Now, I'm sayin', that's a whole lotta anxiety. Imagine bein' stuck up there, danglin' like ornaments, waitin' for somebody to figure it out. These kids probably thought they was gon' meet they maker. That's messed up.

And it's always the kids, man. They just tryna have some fun on a field trip, and boom, life hits 'em with the unexpected. Gotta wonder what kinda trauma that's gonna leave 'em with. No cap.

The fire department had to come through with the ladder truck and rescue 'em one by one. Took three and a half hours. That's some real dedication, but still, three hours is a long time to be hangin' like that. Shout out to the firefighters tho, they did they job.

Then you got Pleasure Pier COO Terry Turney sayin' the ride stopped “as designed.” Aight, cool, but designed to do what exactly? To scare the living daylights outta folks? To give 'em a free anxiety attack? Nah, son. That ain't right.

This whole thing just proves that them corporations don't really care 'bout us regular folk. They care 'bout the money, not the people on the ride. That's why they need to make sure these rides is safe and they keep 'em maintained. But you know how it goes, profit over everything.

And it's always on the Southside where this kinda stuff goes down. Wealthy folks ain't ridin' no broken down roller coasters. They got their own amusement parks, probably. The system is rigged, I'm tellin' you.

They sayin' they gon' inspect the ride before they open it back up. Bet. But who's inspectin' the inspectors? Who's holdin' these corporations accountable? That's what I wanna know.
