They say he was surrounded by family when he passed. At least he wasn't alone, ya know? That Instagram post was all sentimental, talkin' 'bout his music bein' the soundtrack to our lives. And it was, no cap. That track still bouncin' off walls today.

Harlem raised. One of our own. Made somethin' outta nothin'. That's what it's all about, right?

He was half of that duo with DJ E-Z Rock. E-Z Rock dipped out back in 2014 from diabetes complications. Man, health is wealth, y'all gotta take care of yourselves.

Snoop Dogg and Black Eyed Peas sampled “It Takes Two.” That's how you know it's a banger. When the big dogs come callin', you know you did somethin' right.

This ain't just about music, tho. It's about legacy. Rob Base left his mark. Showed everybody that a kid from Harlem could make it big. That's the realest thing of all.
