Real Talk: Is Platner's PTSD Story Just a Play to Get Votes?
This Maine Senate race gettin' messy – is this vet legit, or just another politician tryna finesse the game?

Aight, listen up. This Graham Platner dude, runnin' for Senate up in Maine, he catchin' all kinda heat right now. Seems like his past comin' back to haunt him, and it ain't pretty.
Word on the street is, this cat was wildin' out on Reddit back in the day. Talkin' smack, droppin' controversial opinions – the whole nine. And now that he tryna get elected, all that mess is resurfacin'.
One thing that's got folks talkin' is his stance on PTSD. Back then, he was callin' BS on dudes usin' it as an excuse for bad behavior. Now, he sayin' his own PTSD is why he was actin' a fool online. That's a switch up, fam.
Look, I ain't gonna front. PTSD is real. War messes you up, no doubt. But somethin' ain't sittin' right with this situation. Is Platner really tryna own up to his mistakes, or is he just playin' the sympathy card to get votes?
Politicians be lyin', that's not new. But when you start messin' with mental health issues, that's a whole different level of grime. It's disrespectful to folks who actually strugglin', and it makes the whole conversation harder for everybody.
And then there's the fact that he was hangin' out on some socialist Reddit forums. Now, I ain't hatin' on nobody's politics, but that ain't gonna fly with everybody, especially in a state like Maine.
So, what's the real deal with Platner? Is he a changed man, or just a politician tryna run game? Is he tryna gaslight us? He said, "This was a time in my life where I was struggling deeply," but does that excuse his past actions?
The people gotta decide if they trust this dude. They gotta look past the headlines and the soundbites and see if he's really about that action.
'Cause at the end of the day, it ain't about Democrat or Republican. It's about keepin' it real. Is Platner keepin' it 100, or is he frontin' for the cameras?
The jury's still out on this one. But one thing's for sure: this election is gonna be a wild ride.
CNN first reported on Platner’s activity on the r/SocialistRA subreddit and other Reddit forums. The Washington Post also obtained a since-deleted message from 2013 in which Platner discussed a video promoting female underwear designed to prevent rape.
