Real Talk: How Many Receipts You Need To Get These Politicians Held Accountable?
This whole situation wit' Swalwell and Gonzales shows how the game is rigged and folks in power get away with anything.
Aight, so check it. We still out here debatin' what's unacceptable behavior? Seriously? This ain't rocket science, man. Treat people right, don't be a creep, and keep your hands to yourself. But nah, these politicians and elites, they live by a different set of rules. They be doin' whatever they want, and we supposed to just sit back and take it?
The question ain't just about what's 'unacceptable.' It's about power. Who got it, and who don't. They in positions to abuse folks, especially women, and feel like they untouchable. We gotta flip the script on that. But how many women gotta speak up before people start believin'? One? Ten? A whole damn army? It shouldn't take that much. If somebody got the courage to come forward, we gotta listen and take that sh*t seriously. No cap.
They talkin' 'bout societal standards, but what standards are we really holdin' these cats to? Back in the day, they'd just sweep this stuff under the rug. #MeToo put some pressure on 'em, but they still findin' ways to wiggle out. It's always 'he said, she said,' and they playin' the doubt game. But when it's a Black or Brown person in the same situation, they already guilty before the trial even starts. That's the real tea.
And don't even get me started on these 'experts.' They sit up in their ivory towers, analyzin' this and that, but they ain't lived the life we livin'. They ain't seen how these power dynamics play out on the streets. We need real solutions, not just talk. We need accountability, not just apologies. We need justice, not just hashtags.
Swalwell and Gonzales, they just examples. This sht goes way deeper. It's about the whole system, the way it's set up to protect the powerful and silence the voiceless. We gotta tear that sht down and build somethin' new, somethin' that's fair for everybody. It ain't gonna be easy, but we gotta keep fightin'. For real.
The bottom line is this: unacceptable behavior is unacceptable, period. No matter who you are, no matter how much money you got, no matter how much power you wield, you gotta be held responsible for your actions. It's time for some real change. Stop playin' and start actin' like we all in this together.
