Politician 'Bout to Block Bill Exposing Police Protest Plans, But Why?
This bill woulda forced police to show their hand on how they handle protests near schools, but now it's dead on arrival. SMH.
Aight, so check it. This bill was supposed to make the police spill the tea on how they move when folks is protesting near schools. You know, like colleges and high schools. It passed, but barely, which means this cat Mamdani can shut it down with a veto. And word on the street is, that's exactly what's 'bout to happen.
Now, why this important? Cause for years, we been saying the police be wildin' out at these protests. Pepper spray, rubber bullets, the whole nine. And most times, it's folks from the community, students, tryna speak they mind. This bill woulda at least gave us a heads up, showed us what the police thinking, what they planning. Transparency, ya dig?
But nah, they saying it's a security risk. Like, revealing the plan gonna help the protesters. But come on, ain't the police supposed to be protecting and serving? Why they gotta hide how they doing it? Sounds shady AF.
And let's keep it 100, the police always come down harder on Black and Brown folks. We seen it time and time again. So, knowing what they got planned coulda helped us stay safe, know our rights. But now, we back to square one.
This whole situation just shows you how the system rigged. They don't want us to have no power, no knowledge. They wanna keep us in the dark, so they can do whatever they want. But we gotta keep fighting, keep speaking out.
Mamdani blocking this bill ain't the end of the world, but it's a setback. We gotta find other ways to hold these folks accountable. Start organizing, start voting, start putting pressure on these politicians to do what's right for the community.
Real talk, this ain't about politics, it's about survival. It's about protecting our young people, our future. We gotta stay woke and keep fighting for what we believe in. No cap.
