Palestine Marathon: They Runnin' While Folks Dyin'?
13K runners show up for a marathon while Gaza's on fire — is this real support or just another photo op?

Aight, so check it. 13,000 people from all over the world, they pull up to Palestine to run a marathon while Gaza's gettin' bombed and folks is strugglin' out here. Real talk, is this solidarity or just another chance for folks to look good on the 'Gram?
I'm sayin', is this really about unity and resilience, or is it about them getting a chance to feel like they doin' somethin' while real life is still a struggle for the people actually livin' there? Feels kinda performative, know what I mean?
They runnin' through the West Bank, right? So they seein' firsthand how things is, the checkpoints, the struggle. But does that change anything when they go back home to their gated communities and comfy lives?
Don't get me wrong, I'm all for people comin' together. But when it's draped in the flag of charity while ignoring the root causes, it just feels… hollow.
The violence in Gaza is real, people losin' their homes, their lives. Runnin' a marathon ain't gon' fix that. It ain't gon' bring back the dead. What we need is real change, real solutions, not just symbolic gestures.
They could be puttin' pressure on their governments to stop sendin' weapons, to hold Israel accountable for the way they treatin' the Palestinian people. But that's harder than runnin', ain't it?
And let's not even start on the resources. All them planes flyin' in, all them hotels, all the waste from a marathon. How much of that money actually stayin' in the community and helpin' folks?
I ain't hatin', I'm just sayin', let's keep it 100. This ain't a Disney movie. Real change ain't gon' come from no marathon. It gon' come from people standin' up, speakin' out, and fightin' for what's right, even when it's hard.
We need to see some real action. We need to see policies changin', not just people joggin' for likes. The struggle real out here, and it ain't no game.
So yeah, they ran a marathon. Cool. But let's not act like that changed anything substantial. Let's keep our eyes on the prize, which is freedom and justice for Palestine, and that ain't gon' come from no finish line alone.
At the end of the day, it's about who benefits. If the people livin' there ain't feelin' the benefits, then it's just another show. Keep it real, fam.
Word to the motherland.
