OpenAI Dropped the Ball, Now Bodies Droppin' in Canada: Real Talk
Altman's sorry ass gotta do more than just apologize after they ignored red flags and folks got murked in Tumbler Ridge – this ain't no game.

Aight, listen up. OpenAI, that tech company run by that dude Altman, just issued an apology after some tragedy went down up in Canada. Turns out, they knew 'bout this person's account who went and shot up a school, but they ain't say nothin' to the police. Straight up, they saw the smoke, but didn't call the fire department. Now eight people dead, including five kids. That ain't right.
Altman comin' out here with his 'deepest condolences' and all that. But condolences don't bring back the dead, man. It's easy to say sorry AFTER the bodies drop. The real question is, why they didn't act when they had the chance?
They claim the account was flagged for 'violent activities' but didn't meet their threshold for gettin' the law involved. What kinda messed up standard is that? Somebody talkin' 'bout violence on the internet, especially with all the crazy stuff goin' on, you gotta take that serious. Can't be playin' around with people's lives.
Now the Premier of British Columbia, Eby, is sayin' the apology is 'necessary but grossly insufficient.' He ain't wrong. A sorry ain't gonna cut it when families are grievin' and communities are shattered. This is on OpenAI, and they gotta own up to it.
This ain't just about one company messin' up. This is about these big tech companies thinkin' they can do whatever they want without any consequences. They collect all our data, track our every move, but when it comes to preventin' real harm, they drop the ball. It's all about the money, never about the people.
Altman sayin' they're gonna work with the government to make sure this never happens again. But trust is earned, not given. They gotta show us they're serious. They gotta change their policies, they gotta be transparent about how they monitor user activity, and they gotta be held accountable when they screw up.
This whole situation is messed up. Innocent people lost their lives 'cause some tech company was sleepin' on the job. It's time for these companies to step up and take responsibility for the power they wield. 'Cause real talk, with great power comes great responsibility. If you ain't usin' that power to protect people, then you ain't nothin' but a menace.
So, to the families in Tumbler Ridge, we see you, we hear you, and we stand with you. And to OpenAI, you better do better. This ain't a game, this is real life. And lives are on the line.
