Aight, so check it. NYU kids is straight up heated 'bout this Jonathan Haidt cat they got speakin' at graduation. Word on the street is, this dude be runnin' his mouth 'bout how colleges protectin' students too much, makin' 'em weak and soft.
But lemme tell you somethin', this ain't no walk in the park for these youngins. They dealin' with real sh*t, like tryin' to survive in a system that's stacked against 'em from day one. We talkin' racist professors, unaffordable tuition, and pressure to succeed in a world that don't give a damn 'bout their dreams.
This dude talkin' 'bout 'coddled'? Man, these kids ain't coddled, they hustlin'. They organizin' protests, fightin' for social justice, and tryin' to make a difference in a world that's tryna grind 'em down. He ain't seein' the struggle.
And it ain't just 'bout social justice, either. These kids dealin' with anxiety, depression, and all kinds of mental health issues. Tryna balance school, work, and family responsibilities, all while tryna stay sane. So, nah, don't tell 'em 'bout bein' 'coddled.'
This ain't 'bout bein' soft, it's 'bout survivin'. It's 'bout fightin' for a better future, even when the odds are stacked against you. It's 'bout supportin' each other and buildin' community in a world that's tryna tear you apart.
Universities supposed to be supportin' these students, not bringin' in cats who gonna disrespect they struggle. They need to understand the challenges they facin' and help create a more inclusive and equitable environment. No cap.
So, to all the NYU students out there, keep grindin'. Keep fightin'. Keep speakin' yo' truth. Don't let nobody tell you you're weak or coddled. You're strong, you're resilient, and you're the future. Period.
