NYT Tryna Snitch On the Block: 'Paper Chasin' Journalist Looks For Dealers
Mainstream media comin' for the streets again, tryna paint a picture they don't even understand.
Aight, so check it. The New York Times, that bougie newspaper, sendin' folks out here tryna talk to people involved in the drug game. They doin' a series on synthetic drugs, claimin' it's about bein' 'dangerous' and all that. But we know what it really is: another excuse to lock up our people and keep us down.
These ain't talkin' 'bout the real reason these drugs are poppin' off. Folks desperate, man. No jobs, no hope, just tryna survive. They ain't gonna talk about how the government flooded our communities with crack back in the day, now they wanna act shocked when other stuff comes along.
They gonna interview some cats makin' a few bucks, tryin' to feed their families, and paint 'em as villains. They ain't gonna talk to the single moms workin' two jobs just to make ends meet, the dudes stuck in dead-end jobs, the kids growin' up with no future. They ain't gonna show the system that's set up to keep us failin'.
The police gonna be on high alert now, watchin' everythin' even closer. Another excuse to harass black and brown folks, to stop and frisk, to fill up the jails. This ain't about helpin' nobody, it's about control. Plain and simple.
We gotta be smart out here, fam. Watch who you talk to. Watch what you say. They tryna use us to build their narrative, to justify their oppression. Don't let 'em.
They gon' try to glamorize it too, like it's some kinda movie. This ain't no Scarface. This is real life, with real consequences. People dyin', families broken, lives wasted. But the NYT ain't gonna show you that part. They just want the drama, the sensationalism.
Stay woke, y'all. Don't believe the hype. The media always got an agenda. And that agenda ain't never been about helpin' us. It's about controllin' us, labelin' us, and keepin' us down.
So next time you see that fancy paper talkin' 'bout drugs in our communities, remember this: they ain't lookin' for solutions. They lookin' for stories. And they don't care who they hurt to get 'em.
