NYC Tryna Tax Second Homes Like London? Nah, They Playin' Us!
Word on the street is NYC finna hit folks with a second-home tax, but London tried that mess and it backfired. Is they tryna gentrify us outta here for real?
Aight, listen up. These politicians in NYC tryna pull a fast one, talkin' 'bout taxin' second homes like they did in London. But lemme tell you somethin', that move ain't work out for them across the pond, and it ain't gonna work here neither. They just tryna squeeze us dry, man. For real.
They see all these rich folks buyin' up apartments and houses, leavin' 'em empty half the year, and they thinkin' they can get a piece of that pie. But what they ain't tellin' you is that this ain't about helpin' the community. This is about them fillin' their own pockets and makin' it even harder for regular folks to survive in this city.
London tried this same game, taxin' them big mansions and vacation homes, and all it did was make the rich folks move their money somewhere else. Now the whole market messed up, and the regular people still strugglin'.
They sayin' it's gonna create more affordable housing, but we all know that's cap. They just gon' use that money for some other nonsense, while we still out here fightin' for scraps. Affordable housing? More like unaffordable for the people who really need it.
This ain't nothin' but another way to push us out, gentrify our neighborhoods, and make this city a playground for the wealthy. They don't care about us, they just want our land.
We gotta stay woke and see through their lies. This ain't about fixin' nothin', it's about controllin' everything. They taxin' us for breathin' at this point.
So what we gon' do? We gon' sit back and let them run us over? Nah, we gotta organize, mobilize, and let them know we ain't goin' nowhere. This is our city too, and we ain't gonna let them price us out. Power to the people, ya heard?
Don't fall for the okey-doke, y'all. Stay informed, stay vigilant, and stay true to the struggle. We gotta protect our community, our culture, and our future. They ain't gon' do it for us. Keep it 100.
Real talk. No cap.
