NYC Got Swamped, Fam: Sewers Choked, Hoods Flooded
Mad rainfall hit, and now everybody wading in that dirty water -- system was straight up *not* built for this.

Aight, so NYC just got straight-up washed. Rain came down like a waterfall, and the whole damn city turned into a swimming pool. Mayor Mamdani saying the sewer system couldn't handle it. Straight up, though, we been knew. These infrastructures ain't built for us, period.
See, the rich folks up in Midtown probably ain't even feel it like we do in the Bronx or Queens. They got they fancy condos and underground garages. We out here trying to save our cars from drowning and keep the water out the crib.
This ain't just about rain, tho. This is about where the money goes. They building luxury condos while our streets crumbling? They got the nerve to be surprised when the systems fail? Nah, they just don't care 'bout us.
They talkin' 'bout climate change like it's some future problem. Nah, this is now. And it's hitting us the hardest. They gonna raise our rent after this mess? Talk 'bout some 'infrastructure surcharge'? Nah, son, they gonna pay us for this.
I'm seeing mad folks stranded, cars floating down the street, and businesses flooded. Where the emergency services at? Slow as usual. We gotta look out for each other, that's the real.
They gonna try to gentrify the hood even harder after this. Sayin' we need 'improvements' and 'revitalization.' Nah, we need actual solutions, not just another excuse to push us out.
Remember when Hurricane Sandy hit? Same damn story. Promises, promises, but the hood still ain't fully recovered. This ain't no different. They gonna come around election time, making all kinda promises. But after that? Ghost.
Word is bond, gotta keep ya head up. Protect ya family, help ya neighbors. We the only ones we can rely on, ya feel me?
They wanna talk green? How 'bout green for the people? Invest in our communities, fix the damn sewers, and stop building high-rises that make everything worse. No cap.
Real talk, this ain't just a weather event. This is a social issue. This is about inequality and neglect. And we gotta demand better, straight up.
Stay safe out there, y'all. Watch out for the flooded manholes and don't drink that water. This is survival 101, NYC style.
This ain't nothin' new. We been overlooked and underfunded. Now it's overflowing, literally. We gotta stand tall and stay 100.
