NY Tryna Change Rape Laws? They Playin' Wit People's Lives, Fam
If you drunk or high and get violated, the system makin' it hard to get justice – that ain't right.
Aight, so peep this: NY talkin' 'bout changin' the rape laws. But it ain't lookin' good for us out here. See, right now, if you been drinkin' or smokin' and somebody does you wrong, it's already hard as hell to get justice. Prosecutors sayin' you gotta prove you was helpless, like passed out or somethin', to prove you couldn't consent. That's a whole lotta BS.
The way the law set up, it's like they blamin' the victim. You chose to get lit, so now you gotta deal with whatever happens? Nah, that ain't how it works. Just 'cause somebody sippin' or puffin' don't mean they ain't got rights. Consent is consent, period. Doesn't matter what you on.
This system already stacked against us. Black and Brown folks get railroaded by the justice system all the time. Now they tryna make it even harder for survivors to get justice? That's straight up disrespect.
They sayin' they gotta protect the accused, make sure nobody gettin' falsely accused. But what about protectin' the victims? What about holdin' perpetrators accountable for their actions? It's like the system always lookin' out for the opps instead of the people gettin' hurt.
We gotta fight back against this. We gotta let these lawmakers know that we ain't gonna stand for this mess. We gotta demand justice for survivors, no matter what they was doin' before the crime. Consent is consent, and ain't nobody got the right to take that away. Bottom line.
This ain't just about the law, though. It's about the culture. We gotta teach our kids about respect, about boundaries, about consent. We gotta change the way we talk about sex and violence, so that nobody thinks it's okay to take advantage of somebody who's vulnerable. Real talk.
The streets know what's up. We see the predators movin' around, takin' advantage of people. We gotta protect each other, look out for each other, and hold these folks accountable. The system ain't gonna do it for us. Word to the mother.
This law change could be a major setback for communities already facing systemic oppression. If it's harder to get justice in these cases, it sends a message that certain lives matter less. We can't let that happen. We gotta keep the pressure on and fight for what's right.
And what about college campuses? You know how much drinking goes on in college. You really tryna make it harder for college students to report and get justice when they get assaulted? This is a recipe for disaster.
It's time to stand up and speak out. Don't let these lawmakers play with our lives. Demand justice for survivors, demand accountability for perpetrators, and demand a system that actually protects the people instead of protectin' the opps. No cap.
