NASA's Artemis II: Cool Pics From Space, But What About the Hood?
Dey up there takin' selfies by the moon while we still strugglin' down here, feel me?

Aight, so NASA done sent they lil' Artemis II mission up to the moon, right? Got folks like Reid Wiseman takin' flicks of Earth and all dat. Auroras lookin' kinda fire, I ain't gonna lie. But hold up, lemme keep it 100 – what dat gotta do wit' me and my people?
We still dealin' wit' rent hikes, police brutality, and food deserts out here. Folks can't even afford healthcare, but we sendin' folks on a ten day vacay around the moon. Nah, somethin' ain't right.
Lakiesha Hawkins from NASA talkin' 'bout capturin' more photos once they get to the moon. How 'bout capturin' some solutions to the problems we got right here on Earth? How 'bout using dat NASA brainpower to solve climate change before it floods all our neighborhoods?
I ain't hatin' on space exploration, but it feel like dese missions only benefit the rich and powerful. We ain't gettin' none of dat trickle-down technology. Meanwhile, they gentrifyin' our communities and callin' it "progress."
And let's be real, how many Black folks is really up in NASA calling the shots? It's always the same story – we get a seat at the table, but never control of the menu. We need more brothas and sistas in STEM, buildin' their own rockets and runnin' their own programs.
We gotta make sure dat space exploration ain't just another way for the elite to escape the problems dey created on Earth. We need resources invested back into our communities, buildin' schools, creatin' jobs, and empowerin' the next generation.
These photos look beautiful, but what about the beauty in the streets? What about the beauty in our culture? We gotta uplift our own before we start reachin' for the stars.
Real talk, NASA gotta do better. Stop with the empty promises and start puttin' some respek on our name. Until den, I ain't impressed by no moon pics. Keep it 100.
I'm just sayin', if they find a cure for cancer on the moon, I better see it in my hood before it hits Beverly Hills, you feel me?
No cap.
