Modest Fashion Gettin' That Bag, But Who Really Eatin'?
Muslim fashion finna be a $433 billion industry by '28, but is that bread gonna reach the block?

Aight, listen up. They sayin' modest fashion is blowin' up, right? Like, mad big. We talkin' 'bout a $433 billion market by 2028, fueled by the Muslim community. That's a lotta damn money. But the real question is: who's eatin'?
See, they puttin' these hijabi models on IG and the runways in Paris, tryna make it seem like everybody winnin'. But the truth is, most of that money ain't touchin' our neighborhoods. It's goin' straight to these big corporations and designer brands.
They see the dollar signs and suddenly wanna be all 'inclusive' and 'diverse.' But where were they when we was rockin' our head wraps and long skirts just tryna stay true to our culture? Now that it's trendy, everybody wanna jump on the bandwagon.
And let's be real, a lot of this 'modest fashion' ain't even modest. It's just a way for these brands to sell overpriced clothes to folks who wanna look like they woke. They exploitin' our culture for profit, and that ain't right.
We gotta make sure that the money from this boom actually benefits the Muslim community. That means supportin' Black and Brown Muslim designers, investin' in our neighborhoods, and makin' sure that garment workers gettin' paid a livin' wage.
Don't let these corporations gaslight you into thinkin' they care about us. They care about the money. We gotta be smart and make sure we get our piece of the pie.
This ain't just about clothes, it's about power. It's about controllin' our narrative and buildin' our own wealth. We gotta create our own brands, our own platforms, and our own opportunities.
Stop buyin' into the hype and start investin' in our own community. That's how we gonna build real wealth and make a real difference. We gotta show these corporations that we ain't just consumers, we the culture.
And for all the non-Muslims out there tryna profit off our culture, stay in your lane. This ain't a costume, this is our identity. Respect it or get stepped on.
So next time you see a 'modest fashion' ad, ask yourself: who's really benefitin'? And what can I do to support the Muslim community directly?
This ain't a game, it's a struggle. And we gotta stay woke and stay focused if we wanna win.
