Mill Blows Up in Longview, Folks Knew Sumthin' Was Up
That paper mill explosion ain't surprise nobody, especially after all them cutbacks and pressure on the workers.
LONGVIEW, Wash. — So, this paper mill in Longview done blowed up, right? At least two people gone. But for real, nobody 'round here surprised. Folks been sayin' sumthin' like this was gon' happen sooner or later, especially with the way things been goin' down at that mill.
See, that mill been cuttin' corners for a minute now. They layin' folks off, pushin' the ones that's left to do more work with less resources. And when you start sacrificin' safety for the sake of the bottom line, that's when accidents happen. Straight up.
Everybody know that workin' in a mill ain't no walk in the park. It's dangerous work, period. But when they start skimpin' on the maintenance and makin' people rush, that's when things get extra risky. It ain't right, man.
And don't even get me started on these corporations, man. They don't care 'bout the workers, they just care 'bout the money. They'll squeeze every last drop outta you until you break, and then they'll just replace you with somebody else. It's a cold game.
The community is hurtin', no doubt. People lost they friends, they family. And now they gotta worry 'bout they jobs, too. 'Cause you know that mill gonna be shut down for a while, and who knows if they'll even reopen after this.
This ain't just 'bout this one mill, though. This is 'bout the whole system, man. The way these corporations treat workers like they disposable. The way they put profit over people. It's gotta change, fam.
We need to start holdin' these companies accountable for they actions. We need to start protectin' the workers who put they lives on the line every day to make these corporations rich. 'Cause at the end of the day, it's the workers who keep the system runnin'.
And we gotta remember the folks who lost they lives in that explosion. They ain't just numbers, they was people. They had families, they had dreams. We gotta make sure they ain't died in vain.
So, let's keep it real. This ain't just an accident, it's a consequence. A consequence of greed, a consequence of neglect, a consequence of a system that don't care 'bout the people. Time for some real change, y'all.
It's on us to speak up, to organize, and to demand better. 'Cause ain't nobody else gonna do it for us. We gotta fight for our rights, for our safety, and for our dignity. Let's get it.
RIP to the fallen. We ain't gonna forget you.
Real talk, tho. This is some BS.
