Military Ain't Last Resort, It's the Go-To, Fam
Politicians be quick to send troops 'fore they even try talkin' it out, know what I'm sayin'?
Yo, check it. This whole thing 'bout the military being a "last resort"? That's some straight up cap. For real, politicians be reachin' for the troops faster than they reach for a pen to sign a peace treaty. It's like, diplomacy? What's that?
Back in the day, maybe they thought twice 'bout sendin' our brothers and sisters overseas. Now? It's like a knee-jerk reaction. Some mess goes down somewhere, next thing you know, we got soldiers on the ground. Ain't nobody tryna talk no more.
And who suffer the most? It ain't the rich folks in the penthouses. It's the young blood from the hood, lookin' for a way out. They sign up thinkin' they gon' get some skills, maybe get some money for college. But they end up facin' some real demons out there.
Then they come back, broken. PTSD, injuries, ain't nobody tryna help 'em out. The system chews 'em up and spits 'em out, like they ain't worth nothin'. And for what? Some bullsh*t political agenda?
We gotta start holdin' these politicians accountable, man. Stop lettin' 'em use our people as pawns in their games. Start investin' in our communities, so our kids ain't gotta join the military just to survive.
'Cause real talk, this ain't about freedom and democracy. This is about power and money. The military-industrial complex, as my elders say, keep that cycle of war goin' so they can keep makin' bank.
We gotta wake up, fam. See through the lies. Stop glorifying war and start pushin' for peace. 'Cause at the end of the day, it's our lives on the line. Peace to the God's and Earth's.
We need reparations too, to build up Black communities, so joining the armed forces is not the only damn option.
