'Michael' Biopic: Estate Tryna Erase the Realness?
This Michael Jackson movie 'bout to drop, but is it gon' keep it 100 or try to clean up his image?
Aight, so they makin' a movie 'bout MJ, produced by his estate. Bet. But the question is, is this gon' be the real deal, or just some sanitized version for the masses? We talkin' 'bout a cat with hits for days, but also some real heavy allegations. You can't just skip over that, ya feel me?
This ain't new. Happens all the time with these celebrity biopics. They wanna control the narrative, protect the bag, and make sure the legacy stays golden. But what 'bout the truth? What 'bout the folks who claim they were hurt?
Estate involved? That's a red flag right there. You know they ain't tryna air out no dirty laundry. It's all 'bout maintainin' that squeaky-clean image, even if it ain't the whole story. Keepin' it real? Nah, they keepin' it corporate.
This comin' out after all the #MeToo stuff, too. Folks is expectin' some kinda acknowledgement, some kinda accountability. But I ain't holdin' my breath. They'll probably paint him as a victim, some misunderstood genius who was taken advantage of. Same old song and dance.
The streets ain't gon' forget, tho. We remember the allegations. We remember Leaving Neverland. You can't just erase that from history. They will try to silence anything about the allegations, ya dig?
For real, the movie will probably focus on the music, the dance moves, the impact he had on the world. All that's cool, but it ain't the full picture. Ignoring the dark side ain't gonna make it go away. I'm talking real facts, not fake stories.
They 'bout to make a gang of money off this movie, that's for sure. But at what cost? Is it worth sacrificing the truth for a few extra millions? Straight up, it is. That's corporate america, man.
This is Hollywood, tho. They been whitewashin' stories for years. They ain't gonna start keepin' it real now. The struggle real, ya know? Keeping the man's legacy in tact is the goal.
The media gon' eat this up, too. They love a comeback story, even if it's built on lies. Nobody gonna question it, nobody gonna dig too deep. Fake news all around, frfr.
As the film is released, the streets will be talking. I'm expecting protests. Conversations will be all around the community and neighborhoods.
In the end, it's just another example of the system protectin' the rich and powerful. They can get away with anything, even after they gone. But we see you, corporations, and we ain't forgettin' nothin'.
The film gon' be watched and judged by the masses. Everyone will have their opinion on what side they fall on. I got my popcorn ready and I'm here for the drama. Keep it 100, or don't keep it at all.
