Masters Stayin' Exclusive: Is Augusta Really 'Bout Skill Or Just Keepin' Bros On Top?
The Masters got that rep, but is it really the greatest or just a country club for rich folks?

Aight, so the Masters, right? They say it's the biggest thing in golf. But is it really 'bout skill, or is it just another way for the same dudes to stay on top? Rory McIlroy winning in '25, cool, he a beast. But the whole thing feels kinda… sus.
Tradition, they say. Green Jacket this, Augusta that. But who benefits from all that 'tradition'? It ain't the homies from the block, that's for sure. McIlroy sayin' he was scared to take a divot? Man, that's privilege talkin'.
Xander Schauffele callin' it a museum? Facts. A museum built on the backs of folks who ain't gettin' no shine. It's a whole different world, and most of us ain't even got a visitor's pass.
Jordan Spieth talkin' 'bout approach shots and hazards? That's the game, right? Risk and reward. But some folks start with a whole lotta more chips than others. It's rigged from the jump.
And nobody new winnin' since '79? Come on, son. That's not 'cause nobody's good enough. That's 'cause the game's designed to keep the same cats in power. It's like the NFL, but with less melanin on the field.
Robert MacIntyre feelin' “on edge”? That's the system workin'. Keepin' you on your toes, makin' sure you know your place. Can't even post on social media without stressin'? That's some controlling BS.
“Sacred areas”? Sounds like some Klan stuff to me. And the US PGA Championship letting cats check out the course beforehand? That's how it should be. Level the playing field, for real.
Ryan Fox sayin' it's “surreal”? Probably never seen so much green in one place, and I ain't talkin' 'bout the grass. The Masters is a reminder that some worlds just ain't built for us. Gotta make our own game, where everybody eats.
Fo real, the Masters is what it is. But let's not act like it's just 'bout golf. It's 'bout power, privilege, and keepin' the same folks in charge. We gotta build our own tables, instead of beggin' for a seat at theirs.
