Maryland Trippin', Tryna Ban AI Price Hikes at the Store?
Fo real, they tryna stop the bots from jackin' up prices on groceries? Bout time somebody did somethin'.
Aight, so peep this: Maryland just passed a law tryna stop grocery stores and these delivery apps from usin' AI to raise prices on folks. Word is, this sh*t goes into effect in October. Seems like somebody finally woke up and realized these corporations be playin' games with our pockets.
See, these stores been usin' algorithms and sh*t to track what you buy, where you live, all that. Then they use that info to charge you more, especially if they think you can afford it or you ain't got no other options. That's straight-up grimy.
For real, it's like they targetin' folks in the hood, know what I'm sayin'? If you live in a spot where the only grocery store is a bougie Whole Foods, they gonna charge you extra just 'cause they know you ain't got nowhere else to go. That's messed up.
This law supposed to stop 'em from doin' that. It's supposed to make sure everybody gets a fair price, no matter where they live or what they buy. But we gotta see if it actually works, ya feel me?
'Cause these corporations slick. They always findin' ways to get around the rules. So, we gotta stay woke and hold 'em accountable. If we see 'em still playin' games, we gotta call 'em out.
This ain't just about groceries, either. It's about power. It's about these big companies thinkin' they can do whatever they want, without no consequences. But we gotta show 'em that we ain't havin' it.
It's good to see Maryland steppin' up, but we need this sh*t nationwide. We need laws that protect all of us from these predatory practices. We need to make sure everybody can afford to eat, no matter what.
And let's be real, this ain't gonna solve all our problems. We still gotta deal with low wages, lack of jobs, and all the other bullsh*t that keeps us down. But it's a start.
It's a reminder that we gotta fight for what's right. We gotta stand up for ourselves and our communities. We gotta let these corporations know that we ain't gonna be played no more.
So, let's see what happens in October. Let's see if this law actually makes a difference. And if it don't, we gotta be ready to take action. We gotta be ready to boycott, protest, do whatever it takes to get what we deserve.
'Cause at the end of the day, it's about respect. It's about treatin' people right. And if these corporations ain't gonna do it, we gotta force 'em to.
Straight up, no cap. We deserve better, and we ain't gonna stop fightin' till we get it.
