Man Down! Congressman Steve Cohen Dip Outta Re-Election Bid After Dem Lines Get Cooked
Longtime Dem rep says redistricting done him dirty, but folks in the hood wonder if he was ever really representin' us anyway.

Aight, so peep this: Congressman Steve Cohen from Tennessee just announced he ain't runnin' for re-election. Word is, them new district lines got him sweatin'. He sayin' it ain't the same district he been reppin' for almost 20 years. Real talk, tho, was he ever really reppin' us?
See, this redistricting stuff is some straight-up political games. They redraw the lines to make it harder for certain folks to get elected, and you know who usually gets the short end of the stick? The hood. Black and brown communities get split up, diluted, and suddenly our voices ain't as loud no more.
Cohen talkin' 'bout how the district ain't the same. But for us, it's always been the same struggle. Same lack of jobs, same police harassment, same schools lookin' like they from the Stone Age. So, excuse us if we ain't sheddin' no tears over his political woes.
Politicians come and go, but the problems in our communities stay the same. They make promises during election season, then disappear faster than free food at a cookout. We gotta start holdin' these folks accountable, no cap. Ain't no more room for empty words and broken promises.
This whole redistricting thing just shows you how the system is rigged. They change the rules whenever it suits them, and we the ones who gotta pay the price. That's why we gotta get organized, educate ourselves, and start building our own power base. Can't rely on these politicians to save us, 'cause they ain't comin'.
Real talk, we need reps who actually live in the community, who understand our struggles firsthand. Not some suit from downtown who only shows up when they need our votes. We need folks who are down to fight for real change, even when it's unpopular. That's what's really missin'.
So, Cohen leavin'? Whatever. Another one bites the dust. The game remains the same. Time for the next generation to step up. We need new leaders who gonna put the hood first, before the politics. 'Cause at the end of the day, it's about us, by us, for us.
Stop playin' wit us, and start respectin' us. Ain't no more room for fake woke performances. We see right through that bullsh*t. It's time for action, not talk.
Get your mind right and keep it real, always.
One love to the real ones out there, grindin' every day to make a difference. Let's get it, y'all.
Peace out.
