Jail Ain't Safe: Young Brotha Dead in Sydney Prison They Knew Was Sus
Independent report warned 'bout that spot, but they ain't listen. Now a life gone. SMH.

Aight, listen up. Another young brotha done passed away inside Long Bay Correctional Centre, and this ain't no accident. This 19-year-old was on remand, waitin' for his case, and ended up takin' his own life in a unit that everybody knew was a problem.
See, some independent watchdog peeped the spot months ago and said that Metropolitan Special Programs Centre (MSPC) was straight up unsafe. Run-down cells, mold everywhere, nothin' but bad vibes. They even said it had “ligature points” – spots where you can hang yourself. Basically, they handed these folks a warning on a silver platter.
But did they listen? Nah. The government just sat on that report like it was nothin'. Now a young man is gone. Straight up tragedy.
Corrective Services NSW put out some BS statement sayin' they tried to help him, but he was already gone. They talkin' 'bout an investigation and all that, but we know how that goes. It's just gonna be a cover-up so they can sweep it under the rug.
They tryna say they got a $16 million program to remove ligature points, but 22% of the deaths in custody last year was still from hangin'. Where that money goin', fam? Seems like somebody's pockets gettin' fat while these young men are losin' their lives.
And then you got Sue Higginson, the Greens justice spokesperson, cryin' 'bout how she tried to shut the place down. She talkin' that talk, but ain't nothin' changed. The system is still messed up.
The minister for corrections ain't sayin' nothin', probably 'cause he knows they messed up big time. All they do is deflect and avoid responsibility.
This ain't just about one prison, though. This is about the whole system. They lockin' up too many Black and brown folks for petty stuff. They ain't providin' no real help or rehabilitation. They just throwin' people away.
We gotta wake up and demand change. We gotta fight for these young men who ain't got a voice. We gotta hold these folks accountable for their actions. Enough is enough.
For real, though, if you feelin' down and need someone to talk to, hit up Lifeline at 13 11 14. Don't let the system win.
