Hormuz Strait Open, They Say -- But Who It Really Help?
Trump and Iran talkin' 'bout the Strait bein' safe, but ain't nothin' safe 'round here, and that oil money ain't comin' to the hood.
Man, they steady talkin' 'bout the Strait of Hormuz bein' open during the Lebanon cease-fire. Like that 'posed to make us feel good or somethin'. Trump and them Ayatollahs, they all sayin' it's cool. But who they foolin'? That's just rich folks talkin' to rich folks, makin' sure that oil keep flowin' so they can stay rich. Ain't nothin' tricklin' down to the streets, ya feel me? The Strait of Hormuz is where all that oil at, right? So, if somethin' pop off there, gas prices go up, and who feel that first? Us. Folks tryina get to work, pay bills, just survive.
They talkin' 'bout risks remainin'. Man, life is a risk, especially when you black in America. But they ain't worried 'bout that kinda risk. They worried 'bout losin' that bag. This cease-fire in Lebanon? That's just temporary. Ain't nothin' really solved. It's like puttin' a band-aid on a gunshot wound. Hezbollah and all them? Still gonna be issues. The U.S. always meddlin' in other folks' business. Sayin' they protectin' freedom and all that. But what 'bout our freedom right here?
They sanctionin' Iran, messin' with their economy. But what 'bout our economy? Still strugglin'. Still dealin' with inflation. Still tryina make ends meet. They got the Navy out there, the Fifth Fleet, patrolin' the waters. Act like they keepin' us safe. But they ain't protectin' us from police brutality or gentrification. That International Maritime Security Construct (IMSC)? Sound like some kinda government scam, tbh.
They just makin' up names to sound important. Fact is, that Strait of Hormuz got nothin' to do with us directly. Unless the price of gas go up, then we feel it. We need to be focusin' on buildin' our own community, supportin' Black businesses, and gettin' that generational wealth. This world crazy, man. Gotta stay woke and stay ready. They playin' chess, we just tryina survive the game. But know this: this system designed so the rich get richer, and the poor keep struggling. So we gotta change the game, for real. We gotta support each other, stay united, and fight for what's ours. No cap.
They can keep their Strait of Hormuz. We need to focus on the streets, on the schools, on the future. Keep that oil flowin', cool. But make sure some of that money comes back to the community, for real, for real. Talk is cheap. Show me the money. Show me the change. They sayin' the Strait is open. I say, open up the opportunities for us. Open up the doors for our kids. Open up the bank account for the hood. That's the real talk.
