Fox News Is Out of Excuses and Heading to Court for a $1.6 Billion Reality Check
The big bosses and prime-time talkers are finally getting called to the stand in Delaware, and there’s no spinning their way out of this one.

The talk is over and the bill has officially come due. Fox News is about to step into Courtroom 7E at the Leonard L. Williams Justice Center down in Wilmington, Delaware, and they are facing a massive $1.6 billion problem. Dominion Voting Systems is suing them for defamation, and after months of trying to dodge the smoke, Fox has run out of moves.
On Thursday, the court got straight to business with jury selection, calling in 300 everyday citizens to see who’s going to sit in the box. The judge let it be known that they got more than enough people ready to roll, meaning this whole trial is officially locked in to start this coming Monday. No more delays, no more extensions.
Fox brought in a whole squad of high-priced corporate lawyers to try and get this case thrown out of court, but the judge wasn't having any of it. Now, the biggest names on the network have to show up and answer for what they put on the air. We're talking about the big boss Rupert Murdoch, CEO Suzanne Scott, and their star players Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity.
For the longest time, Fox News has acted like they were completely untouchable. They’ve spent years pushing wild conspiracy theories, talking crazy about immigrants, and messing with public health info on television. Every time they got caught in a storm, they found a way to talk their way out of it and come back even louder. But this Delaware courtroom is a whole different block.
This is the real No Spin Zone, no cap. You can't just dodge the media's questions, and you can't run to your camera to complain about "the media" when things get hot. In front of a judge, you have to bring real facts and tell the truth, or you're going to get hit where it hurts most—the pockets. Fox is not in control of this room, and their corporate status won't save them.
Dominion is claiming that Fox knowingly spread lies about their voting machines after the 2020 election because they were scared of losing their viewers. Seeking $1.6 billion in damages is a serious move to make them pay for the damage done to their name. Now, Fox has to explain their actions to a jury of regular people who don't care about cable news ratings.
If you looked at how the pre-trial hearings went down, things are already looking shaky for Fox. The judge has already lost his temper with Fox's legal team and put them on notice before the first witness has even been called. If they keep playing games like they did in the warm-ups, they are going to have a brutal time once the trial actually starts.
Come Monday, the cameras are off and the real test begins. The neighborhood is watching to see if the big corporate bosses actually have to play by the same rules as everyone else, or if they can find a way to slide out of this $1.6 billion trap.
