Ebola Mess? Sounds Like the Same Old BS to Us
They say the Africa CDC messed up, but we peep game – it's always somethin' when it comes to the Motherland.
Aight, so peep this: they sayin' the Africa CDC dropped the ball on this Ebola situation. To some folks back home, that sound like the same old song and dance. Always gotta be somethin', right? Like they ain't expectin' us to handle business on our own terms.
It's like, we can never just win, ya feel me? If we do good, they downplay it. If we mess up, it's front-page news. And then come the 'experts' from overseas, tellin' us how to run our own stuff. Same script, different day.
Now, I ain't sayin' nobody ain't make mistakes. But I'm sayin' that when it comes to Africa, they always quick to point fingers. Where was all this concern when they was drainin' the continent dry for centuries? Where was the help when we was fightin' for our freedom? Now all of a sudden, they care about our health?
And let's be real, that "international aid" ain't always what it seems. A lotta times, it's just a way for them to control things and keep us dependent. They give with one hand, and take way more with the other. That's the game, and we know it.
COVID showed us what's real. Rich countries hoardin' all the vaccines while folks in Africa was dyin' left and right. That's the "global health" they talkin' 'bout. So, excuse us if we take their concern with a grain of salt.
What we need is for folks to invest in our communities, let us build our own systems, and get outta the way. Stop tellin' us what to do and start supportin' us doin' it for ourselves. We got the brains, we got the heart, we just need the resources and the respect.
But nah, they'd rather keep us dependent, keep us beggin'. That way, they can always say, "See? They can't do it without us." But we see through that BS. We know what's up.
So yeah, maybe the Africa CDC coulda done better. But don't act like this is just about one mistake. This is about a whole history of disrespect and exploitation. Until they start treatin' us like equals, ain't nothin' gonna change. Keep it 100.
At the end of the day, we gotta look out for ourselves. Build our own, protect our own. Can't rely on nobody else to do it for us. That's the real lesson here. Stay woke.
