East London Fam Stuck 'Cause Council Ain't Collectin' Bread From These Crooked Developers
Hackney Council playin' games with peoples' lives, leavin' folks trapped in their cribs over some bullsh*t debt.

Aight, listen up, fam. This ain't no joke. Out here in East London, in Upper Clapton, folks straight up trapped in they own homes. Why? 'Cause some janky developer, Restoration Hackney, owe Hackney Council a fat stack – like, £850,000 worth of bread, from Section 106 and community infrastructure levies. They shoulda been puttin' that money back into the community, but nah, they dipped and dodged, leavin' everybody hangin'.
And the Council? They ain't do sh*t for eight years! Eight years! They just let that debt sit there like it ain't nothin'. Now these leaseholders, they tryna sell they flats, but nobody touchin' 'em. Banks ain't givin' out mortgages 'cause they scared they gonna be on the hook for that debt. So now these families stuck.
Man like Rich Bell, he got a wife and kid, tryna move to a bigger spot. He was about to sell his one-bed, but then this debt sh*t popped off. Deal fell through, now he and his fam stuck cramped up in that little space. That ain't right.
This ain't just about money, this is about people's lives, you get me? People workin' hard, tryna make a better life for themselves, and the system just f*ckin' them over. The council supposed to be lookin' out for the community, but they sleep at the wheel. They more worried about takin' selfies and postin' on Insta than actually doin' they jobs.
This is why nobody trust the government, man. They always lookin' out for the big corporations and the developers, never for the little man. They let these cats get away with murder, then act surprised when the community start fallin' apart.
This sh*t gotta change. Hackney Council need to step up and get that money from Restoration Hackney. And they need to guarantee these leaseholders that they ain't gonna be responsible for that debt. It's the least they can do after lettin' this mess fester for eight years.
And to all the developers out there, listen up: you can't just come into our community, build your fancy buildings, and then leave us holdin' the bag. You gotta pay your dues, you gotta give back, and you gotta respect the people who live here. Otherwise, we gonna come for you.
Real talk. No cap.
