Dems Trippin': House Vote Shows They Ain't Really 'Bout Dat Cop Life
With attacks on officers on the rise, most Democrats in the House dissed a resolution honoring cops, makin' folks wonder where they really stand.

Aight, so check it: the House just had a vote on this resolution to honor the police, right? National Police Week and all that. Rep. Zach Nunn, he a Republican from Iowa, thought it was gonna be a unanimous thing, but nah, fam. 173 Democrats voted against it. Straight up cold.
Now, this ain't just some random vote. It's comin' at a time when assaults on cops are up. Like, way up. A 10-year high, according to the Feds. So, you tellin' me you can't even show a lil' respect to the folks puttin' they lives on the line?
Nunn was heated, said it shows who's really down with law and order and who's just tryna undermine the system. He talkin' 'bout how crime rates were low thanks to good community policing and all that, but some folks ain't tryna hear it.
The resolution was basically sayin' that the 'defund the police' movement and these sanctuary city policies put officers at risk. Which, let's be real, ain't nothin' but facts. They also tried to give Trump props for low crime rates. That's when you know they was reachin'.
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries and Katherine Clark, both Democrats, voted against it too. So, it's a whole party line thing. Some folks probably objectin' to the shade thrown at the 'leftist activists' and progressives in the resolution. I get it, but still...
The real deal is, this vote shows the divide in the Democratic party. You got some folks tryin' to play it safe 'cause they runnin' for re-election, but others stickin' to they guns. Rep. Gabe Vasquez, he voted against it even though he might be in trouble come November. That's standin' on bidness.
But look, at the end of the day, folks in the hood see this and start thinkin', 'These politicians ain't really for us.' We need safety and security, but we also need police accountability. Just showin' love to the cops ain't enough. Where the real solutions at?
'Cause at the end of the day, all this political talk don't mean nothin' when you hearin' sirens outside your window every night. They gotta show us they really bout’ dat action for the communities out here fr fr.
This vote shows that its really just lip service and folks gotta be for real if they wanna earn the votes of Black and Brown communities. It's time these cats show they serious. No cap.
