Dem Care Workers Mad as Hell 'Bout Dem Visa Changes
Unison steppin' up, fightin' back against the system tryin' to screw over our frontline folks.

Birmingham, UK – Aight, listen up. The folks who been holdin' down the fort in care homes and hospitals, keepin' our elders and sick ones alive, is 'bout to hit the streets. Dem migrant care workers is tired of gettin' played, and they takin' it to Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood's block in Ladywood.
See, the government tryna pull a fast one. They wanna DOUBLE the time it takes for these workers to get settled – from five years to TEN. That's some straight-up BS. These folks riskin' they lives, workin' long hours for low pay, and this how they get treated? Nah, son.
Unison, the union reppin' 'em, ain't havin' it. They sayin' this gonna mess up the whole system, pushin' good people out and makin' it even harder to find folks to do this vital work. And they right.
They gonna be passin' out flyers to a third of Mahmood's peeps, tryin' to wake 'em up to what's goin' on. This the first time a union this big, tied to the Labour party, is straight-up fightin' 'gainst they own crew. That tells you how serious this is.
It ain't just 'bout the settlement time, either. The union also wants to change how these workers get sponsored. Right now, they gotta be sponsored by they boss, which can lead to all kinds of messed-up situations. Unison want the government to take over, so workers ain't gettin' exploited.
This all happenin' right before a big day of action. Workers gonna be hittin' up they MPs, especially them Labour folks, tellin' 'em how this is affectin' they lives. One care worker, who got degrees and all, said she just wants to give back to society. But this new rule got her feelin' crushed.
Another one said this mess is tearin' his family apart. He loves takin' care of folks with disabilities, but now he wonderin' if he even got a future here. These ain't just numbers, these real people with real lives.
Unison's head honcho, Andrea Egan, said social care already stretched thin. She warned that makin' it harder for migrant workers to settle gonna make things even worse. She sayin' if the government serious 'bout fixin' things, they gotta treat these workers right. Straight up.
This ain't just 'bout visas, it's 'bout respect. These folks puttin' in work, day in and day out. They deserve to be treated like humans, not just some cheap labor. Time for the government to step up and do the right thing. No cap.
