Craig Venter Gone: Was Dat Genome Sh*t Really For Us?
They sayin' this dude decoded the genome, but did it do a damn thang for folks on the block?
Word on the street is Craig Venter, the man who supposedly cracked the human genome code, just checked out at 79. They paintin' him like some kinda hero, but let's keep it 100 – did his 'science' actually change anything for us?
He supposedly sped up the process of mappin' out human DNA, tryna beat the public project. Sounds like a whole lotta competition that didn't trickle down to the crib.
They callin' him a risk-taker, but was he riskin' his life or just playin' with our futures? He's supposed to have said he want to create artificial life or something too. That sound crazy.
Now, I ain't no scientist, but I know when somethin' ain't addin' up. They talkin' 'bout patentin' genes, like we ain't already fightin' enough for basic rights. You telling me somebody gon' own my DNA?
I'm askin' does all dat money that went into this research really benefit the community, or is it just line the pockets of corporations and fancy doctors who ain't never seen the inside of a hood? We still strugglin' to get basic healthcare while these cats playin' God in labs.
They act like this genome thing supposed to solve all our problems, but the only thing I see is more reasons for the system to mess with us. Genetic discrimination? You know they gon' use dat against us in courtrooms and hospitals. They always do.
So while they pourin' out liquor for this dude in the science world, I'm over here wonderin' when the real benefits of all this supposed progress gon' reach the streets. When are we gon' be eating?
We need to stay woke and question everything, cause ain't nobody lookin' out for us but us. They sayin' he unlocked the code of life, but where's the cheat sheet for survival in this rigged game? Tell us where the cheat codes at frfr!
Rest in peace to bruh, but let's not forget who really benefits from these 'scientific breakthroughs.' It ain't usually us.
Stay dangerous, ya'll.
Keep ya head up and keep hustlin'.
