Colbert Show Canceled: Was It the Jokes, Or Nah?
They pulled the plug on Colbert, but folks on the block ain't surprised 'cause the real talk was missin'.

Aight, so Colbert's 'Late Show' just got the axe. They sayin' it's 'bout the money, but real talk, was it 'cause his jokes ain't hittin' no more? Dude was tryin' too hard to be woke, and the streets ain't feelin' it.
He had Paul McCartney and Elvis Costello on the finale, singin' 'bout goodbyes. They even had some CGI wormhole eat the whole damn theater. But all that fancy stuff couldn't hide the fact that the show was losin' its flavor. It went out with a whimper, not a bang.
All them late-night cats – Oliver, Meyers, Fallon, Kimmel – came through to show love. Kimmel was trippin' 'bout missin' Colbert, and Meyers was playin' the race card. But let's keep it 100, ain't nobody feelin' sorry for these cats. They all rich, makin' jokes for the same crowd.
CBS tryin' to say it's just business, but peep the game. Paramount Global tryna get that $8.4 billion merger with Skydance Media approved. Can't be rockin' the boat with Colbert throwin' shade at Trump. Gotta play it safe for the big bucks. That's how the system works, fam.
Bruce Springsteen came through sayin' Colbert lost his job 'cause Trump couldn't take a joke. Nah, Bruce. The truth is, Colbert lost touch with the people. He was preachin' to the choir instead of speakin' truth to power. And when the jokes don't land, the ratings drop.
Jon Stewart, Colbert's OG, gave him some words of wisdom 'bout truthiness and facing the darkness. But Colbert ain't 'bout that life no more. He sold out for the corporate bag. The Daily Show was real; The Late Show was just a gig.
Even Letterman showed up to throw chairs and watermelons off the roof. Talk 'bout a mid-life crisis. They thought they was bein' rebellious, but they just lookin' like fools. Where they at when folks really need a voice?
The cancellation of Colbert's show just proves what we already knew: these corporations don't care 'bout nothin' but the bottom line. They'll drop you quick if you ain't makin' 'em money. So, keep it real, stay woke, and don't let the man get you down. Word.
And for those thinkin' Colbert was some kind of hero, wake up! He was a entertainer making a livin'. At the end of the day, it’s just TV.
