Church Folks Wildin' Out: Trump Era Got Everybody Pickin' Sides Over Faith, Frfr
The Second Coming of Trump got church folks split, some cosignin' him, others throwin' hands over how he usin' God's name.

Aight, so boom. Trump back in office, and the church is in a full-blown civil war, know what I'm sayin'? Some folks think he the Second Coming, others think he's the devil in disguise. It's a whole mess, and ain't nobody got time for that, but here we are.
This dude Trump been tryna wrap himself in the Bible, talkin' 'bout Jesus this and Jesus that. But real talk, a lot of church folks ain't feelin' it. They see right through the BS, know what I mean? He ain't really 'bout that life.
Rev. Dr. Liz Theoharis from the Kairos Center, she out here callin' it a 'heretical theology.' Basically, she sayin' Trump is usin' God's name to justify some messed up stuff. And a lot of people agree with her. They tired of seein' the church get used as a political pawn.
And the whole ICE situation? Forget about it. Church folks out here protestin', gettin' arrested, puttin' their bodies on the line. They ain't havin' it with Trump's immigration policies. They seein' families get torn apart, and they speakin' up, know what I'm sayin'?
They was out here protestin' at the airport, gettin' locked up. Ninety-nine faith leaders from across the country were arrested at the Minneapolis airport while protesting ICE operations.
Then Trump tried to end immigration protection for places of worship, but church sued them and won.
These church folks ain't playin'. They takin' it to the streets, organizin' marches, and fightin' for what they believe in. They showin' that faith ain't just about prayin' in the church; it's about standin' up for what's right, even when it's hard. These sisters out in El Paso lookin' out for folks in the court and detention centers. Catholic workers is out here lookin' for support. They takin care of their people.
But here's the real deal: it ain't just about Trump. It's about the whole system. It's about the way this country treats Black and brown people. It's about the way the rich get richer while the poor get poorer. And the church gotta be on the front lines of that fight, too.
Some folks get it twisted, thinkin' the church is supposed to be quiet and stay out of politics. But that ain't never been the Black church. The Black church been fightin' for freedom since day one. From the Civil Rights Movement to Black Lives Matter, the church been the backbone of the struggle. And we ain't stoppin' now.
