Church Apologizin' for Snatchin' Babies? Bout Time, But Still Ain't Enough
Church of England 'bout to say sorry for them forced adoptions back in the day, but that don't fix the trauma they put on mamas and they babies, feel me?

Aight, so check it. The Church of England, them holy rollers, finally 'bout to come clean 'bout their part in snatchin' babies from single moms back in the day. Word is they gon' issue a apology for them mother and baby homes where they pressured women to give up they kids. Bout damn time, but real talk, that ain't gonna cut it.
See, back then, if you was a young, unmarried woman pregnant? The church and the system was on yo' ass. They'd ship you off to these homes, hide you away, and then pressure you to give yo' baby up for adoption. And if you was a Black woman? Betta believe the pressure was on tenfold. They didn't care 'bout you or yo' baby, just 'bout keepin' up appearances and maintainin' they squeaky-clean image.
This ain't just some ancient history either. This mess done messed up generations. Mamas carryin' that pain of losin' they child, kids growin' up not knowin' they roots. That trauma runs deep, fam.
Now the Church of England wanna say sorry? Cool. But a sorry ain't gonna heal them wounds. A sorry ain't gonna bring them families back together. They need to put they money where they mouth is and start compensatin' these survivors. Real talk, reparations is a must.
And don't even get me started on the government. They was in on this too, workin' with the church and other organizations to force these adoptions. They need to step up and apologize too. The UK government needs to acknowledge their role in this mess and make a change.
Phil Frampton, this brotha who was born in one of them church institutions 'cause his parents were in a mixed relationship, hit it right on the head. He said the church can't just hide behind the “morality of the time.” They was supposed to be the moral compass, not the ones steppin' on folks.
And let's not forget 'bout the drugs they was usin' on these women to stop 'em from breastfeedin'. That's cold-blooded, straight up. That's messin' with a mama's body and her connection to her baby. All in the name of keepin' things quiet and controllin' the narrative. Nah, that ain't right.
So, yeah, the Church of England can apologize. But until they start payin' up and takin' real responsibility for the damage they caused, it's just empty words. This ain't 'bout feelin' good 'bout doin' the right thing, its about holdin' folks accountable for hurtin' families and shaming mamas. For real.
