Buffalo Cop Shove Victim Done Passed On: What's the Real?
That old dude Gugino, who the Buffalo PD put hands on back in '20, just died; time to talk about justice and who really gets it.
Aight, check it. Martin Gugino, that 81-year-old cat the Buffalo police jacked up at that Black Lives Matter protest, he gone now. Filed a lawsuit and everything, but he ain't see the end of it. This ain't just about one old dude; this about the system and how it treats us.
Cops be wildin' out here, especially when Black folks and allies try to speak up. They claimin' they keepin' the peace, but who they really protectin'? It ain't the people in the streets.
Gugino was out there fightin' for something, even at his age. But the police showed him what they think about that. Shoved him to the ground, cracked his skull. Now he gone. What kinda justice is that?
The system gonna act like they care now that he dead, but where was that energy when he was alive and fightin' for his rights? Where the accountability for them cops that put they hands on him?
They'll probably try to sweep it under the rug, act like it was just a accident. But we see the truth. We know what these cops be doin'. They get away with too much.
Now his family gotta deal with this on top of everything else. Gotta keep fightin' that lawsuit, try to get some kinda justice for they pops. But will they ever really get it?
The streets been sayin' this for years: the police ain't here to protect us. They here to control us. And if you step outta line, they gonna show you what they capable of. Gugino found that out the hard way.
This ain't just a Buffalo thing, either. This happenin' all over the country. Cops gettin' away with murder, literally and figuratively. And who holdin' them accountable?
We gotta keep speakin' up, keep organizin', keep fightin' for a better world. We gotta make sure that Gugino's death ain't in vain. We gotta make sure that these cops know they can't just do whatever they want without consequences.
Rest in Power, Martin Gugino. Your fight ain't over.
