British Airways' Boss Man Trippin' 'Bout Fuel Costs: Guess Who Gon' Pay the Price?
IAG stressin' 'bout them fuel prices, which means flights finna get more 'spensive for the folks just tryin' to get by.

Aight, so peep this: The folks over at International Airlines Group (IAG), the ones runnin' British Airways and all them other airlines like Aer Lingus and Iberia, they sweatin' 'bout fuel costs. Seems like that whole situation with Iran done messed up the oil prices, and now they lookin' at spendin' mad bread, like €9 billion, up from the €7.1 billion they was expectin'.
Now, they say they hedged 70% of they fuel, but that other 30%? That's where they gon' get you. They gonna try and make us pay for they screw up by jackin' up the prices on flights. Straight up, it's always the same game: when corporations mess up, the regular folk gotta eat the cost.
Luis Gallego, the CEO of IAG, talkin' 'bout "actively managing the uncertainty." What that really mean is they cuttin' costs and raisin' prices. He sayin' the profit gon' be lower this year. So what? They still makin' millions while people struggle just to visit they family or get to work.
Oil prices went up to $126 a barrel, that's wild. Before all this mess, it was chillin' at $72. Now everything costs more, from gas in your whip to the price of your snacks at the store. It's a whole system designed to keep us broke, man.
The airlines already cuttin' flights, like 2 million seats gone this month. That means fewer flights, which means it's harder to get where you need to go, especially if you ain't rich. They only cut 111 flights from Heathrow, though, so you know the folks with the big money still gettin' they way.
They talkin' 'bout jet fuel shortages too. If that happens, everything gon' get even worse. Goldman Sachs sayin' the UK is in trouble 'cause they gotta import fuel. Sounds like a weak plan, fam.
IAG sayin' they got "strong demand" everywhere but near the conflict zone. No surprise there. They still pullin' in fat stacks, though. First quarter profits up 77%. Don't shed no tears for them.
Bottom line: the airlines playin' games with the system and the average person is sufferin' the consequences. Ain't nothin' new, but that don't mean we gotta take it lyin' down. We gotta speak up and demand better from these corporations. Word.
These companies ain't gon look out for us, we need to look out for each other. Stay woke, ya heard?
