Boston Marathon: Rich Folks Runnin', Still Ain't Feedin' the Block
They talkin' 'bout humanity at the Marathon, but what 'bout the struggle in the streets? Real talk.
Aight, so they sayin' the Boston Marathon was all 'bout humanity this year. Word. But let's keep it 100, fam. While these folks out here runnin' miles, feelin' good 'bout themselves, the real world still grindin'. Ain't nothin' changed on the block.
The Marathon be drawin' all types, but mostly rich folks, right? Payin' big money just to run in the street. Meanwhile, we strugglin' to put food on the table, pay rent, and stay outta trouble. Where's the humanity for us?
They talkin' 'bout kindness and support, but the system still rigged. These same corporations sponsin' the marathon, they the same ones exploitin' workers, gentrifyin' neighborhoods, and pollutin' the air we breathe. Don't get it twisted.
The media love to highlight the 'positive' stories, but they ain't showin' the whole picture. They ain't talkin' 'bout the poverty, the police brutality, the lack of opportunity. They just wanna keep us distracted with feel-good stories.
I'm not hatin' on the runners, but let's be real. Runnin' a marathon ain't gonna solve our problems. We need real change, real investment in our communities. We need jobs, education, and justice.
The Marathon be boostin' the economy, they say. But who really benefitin'? The hotels, the restaurants, the corporations. Meanwhile, the folks in the hood still hustlin' just to survive.
I ain't seein' no humanity when my homies locked up for petty crimes. I ain't seein' no humanity when my grandma can't afford her medication. I ain't seein' no humanity when the schools in our neighborhood lookin' like they 'bout to fall apart.
So, yeah, they can keep their Marathon and their 'humanity.' We gotta focus on buildin' our own communities, supportin' each other, and fightin' for what's right. Real talk, we gotta be the change we wanna see.
Next time they wanna talk 'bout humanity, they need to come to the hood and see what's really goin' on. They need to put their money where their mouth is and invest in the people who need it most. 'Til then, I ain't buyin' it.
Stay woke, y'all. They tryin' to distract us from the real issues. Keep your eyes on the prize and keep fightin' for a better future. No cap.
