Belfast Harbour 'Bout To Blow Up: £1.3 Bill on the Table!
They droppin' a bag on the harbour, but will the community see any of that bread?

Aight, check it, fam. Belfast Harbour 'bout to get a major glow-up. We talkin' £1.3 BILLION, straight cash homie. They sayin' it's 'cause the NI economy doin' its thing, but real talk, where's that money really goin'?
So, they fixin' up the port, buildin' new stuff for them fancy wind turbines, new docks, and all that. Might even throw up some apartments for the boujee folks. But what about the rest of us?
NI economy been outperformin' the UK lately, they sayin' it's 'cause they got that UK and EU access. But that don't mean nothin' if that money stayin' in rich folks' pockets. We need that trickle-down economics to actually… trickle down.
They gotta change some laws so the harbour can borrow money. Sounds kinda sus, right? Who's gettin' paid under the table? Joe O'Neill, the head honcho, says he's chill about it. But we ain't born yesterday.
The harbour independent, so they ain't gettin' no handouts from the gov'ment. But they hopin' to make bank off that Dublin-to-Belfast connection. More money, more problems, ya feel me?
They sayin' the harbour could be movin' up to 50 million tonnes of stuff by 2050. That's a whole lotta product. Hope some of that product makes its way back into the community, ya know?
Belfast harbour used to be all about buildin' ships, like the Titanic. Now, some Spanish company buildin' warships there. Times change, but the struggle stays the same.
They even talkin' 'bout takin' back more land. That's messin' with nature, for real. We gotta think about the environment, not just the bag.
Is this investment gonna create real jobs for the people in the community? Or is it just gonna line the pockets of the already rich? That's the real question.
We gotta hold these cats accountable. Make sure they investin' in the community, not just the bottom line. We need job training programs, affordable housing, and a piece of that pie.
'Cause at the end of the day, a rising tide lifts all boats. But if only the yachts are risin', then we got a problem. Keep it 100.
Word to the wise: stay woke, fam. Don't let these corporations and politicians pull the wool over your eyes. Demand your share. Know what I'm sayin'?
