Barney Frank Gone, But Did He Really Do Anything For The People?
That congressman who made laws after the banks crashed just died, but was he really on our side or just lookin' out for Wall Street?

Aight, so peep this: Barney Frank, that dude from Congress who was all up in the financial mess after 2008, he just kicked the bucket at 86. Now, they say he was all 'bout reform and fightin' for the gays, but lemme keep it 100 – did his policies really help the everyday man, especially folks in the hood?
This dude was chair of the House Financial Services Committee, right? That's a big deal. He was the one pushin' for Dodd-Frank after the banks went belly up and folks lost their homes and savings. They said it was supposed to stop that from happenin' again, protect consumers and all that. But did it really work like that?
Dodd-Frank was supposed to regulate the banks, make sure they didn't be doin' no shady sht. They created that CFPB, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, to watch out for predatory lending and all that mess. But it's still hard out here, know what I'm sayin'? Banks still findin' ways to squeeze folks, especially in underserved communities. We still gettin' hit with high fees, predatory loans, and all kinds of other bullsht.
And yeah, he was out there for LGBTQ+ rights, and that's cool and all. Gotta respect that. But that don't pay the rent, know what I'm sayin'? We need real change that puts money in people's pockets and builds up our communities.
They say he was focused on marginalized communities, but what did he actually do to make things better for Black and brown folks? Did he create jobs? Did he make housing more affordable? Did he address the wealth gap? Nah. Talk is cheap. Actions speak louder than words.
He was known for his wit and bein' combative, but that don't mean nothin' if you ain't fightin' for the right things. Politics is a game, and sometimes it feels like these politicians just playin' us. They make promises, but they don't always deliver.
So, Barney Frank is gone. He left his mark, for sure. But let's not get it twisted. We still got a long way to go before we see real economic justice in this country. We gotta stay woke and keep fightin' for what's right.
We need policies that empower our communities, create opportunities, and hold these big corporations accountable. We need real change, not just empty promises. That's the real tea.
RIP to Barney Frank, but let's not forget the real struggle. The grind don't stop.
