Artemis II: They Going Back to the Moon, But What 'Bout Us?
Man, they spending billions on rockets while folks struggling to eat – where the priorities at?

Cape Canaveral, FL – Aight, so they done launched that Artemis II, right? Sending folks back to the moon after all this time. Whole lotta hype, lotta bread being spent. But lemme keep it 100 – what that gotta do with us?
Last time they went to the moon was '72, back when the Vietnam War was still poppin' and Nixon was up to no good. Folks was dealin' with all kinda stuff down here while they was up there hoppin' around on the moon. Eugene Cernan and Harrison Schmitt collected rocks and said some fancy words, but back in the hood, things was still the same.
Now they talkin' 'bout landing on the moon again by 2028, then heading to Mars. That's cool and all, but how 'bout fixin' things down here first? They got money for space trips but can't fund our schools? Can't fix these potholes? Can't get healthcare to everybody?
Cernan said, "with peace, and in hope, for all mankind." But where the peace and hope for Black folks? Where the equity at? They wanna explore the universe, but ain't even explored the problems right here on Earth.
1972 was wild. Nixon went to China, Watergate was brewin', and gas was cheap. But for a lot of us, it was just another day tryin' to survive. Now it's 2026, and some things still ain't changed.
They need to be investin' in our communities, create opportunities for our youth, and make sure everybody got a fair shot. Stop trippin' 'bout Mars when we got problems right here in the backyard. We ain't seein' none of that space money down here.
And if they do find somethin' valuable on the moon, bet they ain't sharin' it with us. It's always the same story. So yeah, they goin' back to the moon. But until they start lookin' out for the people down here, I ain't holdin' my breath. Keep it real.
Bottom line: They can explore space all they want, but they better not forget about the folks struggling down here. Fix our problems first, then worry 'bout Mars. Know what I'm sayin'?
