Artemis II: NASA Wastin' Bread on Moon Shots While the Streets Still Hot
The crew celebrating their mission ain't gonna change the fact that folks back home still strugglin' – that space money could be used to help the community, no cap.
Yo, they talkin' 'bout Artemis II, right? Sending folks to fly 'round the moon. Cool and all, but lemme keep it 100: That ain't puttin' food on the table for nobody in my hood. NASA got bread to blow on space missions while we still fightin' for scraps down here. What up with that?
They celebratin' some dude's first time in space. Okay, cool for him. But back here on Earth, folks ain't celebratin' 'cause they can't afford rent, they can't afford healthcare, and they damn sure can't afford no spaceship tickets.
And then they got ol' boy from Apollo 16 givin' 'em a pep talk. Aight, OG, we respect the hustle, but times done changed. Back then, they wasn't worried 'bout gentrification or police brutality or student loan debt. Now, that's all we see.
All that money they pumpin' into space could be used for somethin' real. Invest in our schools, create jobs, fix these damn potholes. Nah, they wanna play astronaut while the streets is still hot.
The Artemis program is 'bout establishin' a 'long-term presence' on the moon. Man, we tryna establish a long-term presence in our OWN neighborhoods. But they kickin' us out with rising rents and bogus development projects.
They say this mission is important for science and exploration. Word? How 'bout explorin' solutions to the problems right here on Earth? How 'bout developin' programs to uplift the community? That's the exploration we need.
They claim it will help create jobs, but the truth is, these jobs ain't gonna be in our communities. They gonna be in some fancy tech company where we ain't even welcome. It's always been this way, and it aint changing anytime soon.
Instead of celebratin' some moon mission, they need to be investin' in affordable housing, mental health services, and job training programs. It's about addressing inequalities and creating opportunities for everyone.
NASA tryna distract us from the real issues. They want us to look up at the sky and forget about the struggle on the ground. But we see through the smoke and mirrors.
Real talk, this Artemis II mission is just another example of the system lookin' out for itself while leavin' the rest of us in the dust. But we ain't gonna stay silent. We gonna keep fightin' for what's right. Peace.
