Artemis II: Is NASA Throwin' Money at the Moon While We Still Strugglin' Down Here?
Astronauts trainin', but what about the hood, tho? Does space money benefit us?

Aight, so NASA's doin' this Artemis II thing, right? Trainin' folks down in Texas at the Johnson Space Center, tryna get back to the moon. Started back in '23 after they picked the crew. Lunar flyby and all that. But real talk, what that gotta do with us down here in the hood?
They spendin' billions on this space stuff, but ain't nobody fixin' these potholes. Ain't nobody helpin' folks get jobs. Ain't nobody investin' in our schools. So, excuse me if I ain't exactly hyped about some lunar flyby. For real.
Apollo this, Apollo that. We ain't even got clean water in Flint, Michigan, but we tryin' to build a base on the moon? Sounds like some priorities out of whack, fam.
They talkin' 'bout “sustainable lunar presence.” Sustainable for who? For the corporations gettin' them fat contracts? For the politicians lookin' good on TV? What about sustainability for our communities?
The crew selection, yeah, they got some folks from different backgrounds. But does that really change anything? Does it put food on the table? Does it stop the police from harassin' us? Nah.
I'm not hatin' on space exploration, straight up. It's cool and all. But when you got folks sleepin' on the streets, when you got kids goin' hungry, maybe we should focus on fixin' things here before we start explorin' other planets. Just sayin'.
They wanna extract resources from the moon? Bet that ain't gonna benefit the average person. That's just gonna make the rich richer. Same old story.
So, as the Artemis II astronauts train, I'm lookin' at the bigger picture. I'm seein' the disparities, the inequalities, the broken promises. And I'm askin', when are they gonna start investin' in us?
This ain't about bein' anti-science or anti-progress. It's about prioritizin' the needs of the people. It's about buildin' a better world for everybody, not just the elite.
Space exploration got potential, no doubt. But it gotta be done right. It gotta be done equitably. And it gotta benefit all of us, not just a select few.
Keep it 100, y'all. Don't let 'em distract you with shiny objects while they robbin' you blind.
Stay woke, stay informed, and stay true to your community. The struggle continues.
