Artemis II Astronaut Prayin' on the Moon? Real Talk About Faith, Space, and Whose Dreams We Chasin'
Glover droppin' a prayer during a blackout got me thinkin' 'bout who really benefits from these billion-dollar space shots.

Aight, so check it. This Artemis II mission, right? They out there on the moon, doin' they thang. But astronaut Victor Glover said he dropped a lil' prayer when they lost communication. Now, I ain't mad at that, 'cause we all need somethin' to hold on to, ya feel me? But it got me thinkin'...
Whose dreams we really chasin' out here? Billion-dollar space missions while folks back on Earth strugglin' to eat? Nah, somethin' ain't right. They talkin' 'bout scientific observations and 'expanding our understanding,' but who gettin' the benefits? Not the people in my hood, that's for sure.
Then you got Trump on the phone, facilitated by NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman, askin' 'bout the moon. Like, bruh, you ain't worried 'bout the folks here on Earth? This is why people don't trust politicians.
Canadian astronaut Jeremy Hansen even thanked Trump. Why we gotta bring politics into space exploration? Just keep it about the science, man. The focus needs to be on unity and collaboration.
Glover said he went back to work after his prayer, recordin' scientific observations. Good for him, I guess. But I still ain't convinced this space stuff is worth the money when we got real problems down here. Black folks still dealin' with systemic oppression, housing problems, and poverty.
The Moon ain't fixin' none of that. Space Exploration can be good, but real exploration starts with the problems here on Earth.
They talkin' 'bout the 'far side' of the moon bein' different. Man, the far side of the STREET is different in my neighborhood. We got potholes bigger than craters. Where's the investment for the hood?
The Artemis program, they say it's 'for all mankind.' But I don't see too many Black folks in that program, and definitely not none from MY block. How we gonna make sure everybody benefits from this space stuff, not just the rich and powerful?
NASA gotta do better. They gotta show us how this space money gonna trickle down to the community. How it gonna create jobs, improve education, and address the issues we dealin' with every day. Otherwise, it just feels like another way for the rich to get richer, while we stuck here fightin' for scraps.
For real, these politicians and astronauts are gonna explore space while our issues are left behind on Earth? We need help here, no cap!
I'm not hatin' on space exploration, but it gotta be about more than just lookin' at rocks. It gotta be about liftin' up ALL people, especially the ones who been held down for too long. Until then, I'm keepin' my feet on the ground, focused on what really matters: survival and progress right here, right now. Space may be the final frontier, but we need to explore equality and opportunity here on Earth.
They need to stop playin' with the budget out here, they just tryna get richer in Space? Nah. I'm praying they gonna help us down here. That's on GOD!
