American Airlines Said 'Nah, We Good' to United Merger
After Trump admin rumors, AA claps back, 'We ain't tryna get played.'
Aight, so check it. Word on the street is United CEO was kickin' it with the Trump folks, talkin' 'bout a merger with American Airlines. But AA hit 'em with the 'hard pass.' Said they ain't tryin' to be part of no corporate entanglement.
Fo real doe, mergers ain't always the move. It's like gettin' married for the wrong reasons. All that paperwork, plus, somebody always end up feelin' like they got the short end of the stick. AA probably saw the writing on the wall.
And the Trump admin connection? That's a whole 'nother level of sus. You know they was probably tryin' to hustle some kinda deal behind closed doors. But AA ain't fallin' for it. They stay woke.
Plus, think about it: Bigger ain't always better. You get two big companies together, and who suffers? The lil' man. Prices go up, service go down, and folks get laid off. AA probably know they gotta look out for their own.
Now, this ain't sayin' AA is the good guy, nah. They still gon' charge you extra for snacks and legroom. But at least they ain't tryin' to pull no shady merger moves.
United probably salty AF right now. They thought they was gonna get a come-up, but AA shut 'em down quick.
This whole situation just shows you gotta watch out for these corporations and politicians. They always schemin', always tryin' to get over. Gotta stay ten toes down and protect your own.
They gonna keep hustlin’, that’s fo sho.
Keep your eyes open out here, ya heard?
Don’t let the man get you down.
Stay strapped and stay ready.
For real though.
