AI Teachin' Special Ed? Nah, Real Talk, What's Really Goin' On?
They sayin' AI helpin' teachers, but in the hood, we see this for what it is: another way to cut corners on our kids' education.

BAY POINT, Calif. — Aight, so they tryna tell us these special ed teachers, they all stressed out, right? Understaffed, overworked, the whole nine. So now they sayin' they usin' AI to make they job easier. Paperwork this, IEP that. But peep this: in the hood, we know what time it is.
This ain't about helpin' the kids, fam. This about cuttin' costs and doin' the bare minimum. Mary Acebu at Riverview Middle School? She ain't wrong, probly stressed. But AI ain't the answer, it's a symptom of the bigger problem. They ain't investin' in our schools, ain't payin' teachers what they worth, and now they wanna throw some AI at it like that's gonna fix everything? Nah.
The Center for Democracy and Technology (CDT) droppin' numbers, sayin' 57% of these teachers usin' AI for IEPs. Last year it was 39%. That jump mean they desperate, not innovative. And CDT worried bout privacy? Please. They should be worried 'bout these kids gettin' a proper education, period.
UVA and UCF talkin' 'bout AI makin' IEPs better? Come on, man. A computer can't understand what my nephew goin' through. Can't understand his struggle, his background, his potential. That takes a real teacher, someone who cares, someone who invested. Not no algorithm.
Olivia Coleman at UCF sayin' face time is important? Word. But AI ain't gonna give these kids face time. It's gonna give 'em screen time, while the teacher dealin' with some other crisis 'cause they stretched too thin.
Trump admin delayed some rule 'bout disability access? Shocker. They always playin' games with our kids' futures. And now we get AI special ed. Coincidence? I think not.
They sellin' it like this is the future, like it's progress. But in reality, it's just another way to cheat our kids outta what they deserve. More resources, smaller classes, teachers who look like them and understand where they comin' from. That's what we need. Not no damn robots.
We gotta wake up, y'all. This ain't about technology, it's about priorities. They ain't puttin' our kids first, and they never will unless we force they hand. So let's stop fallin' for the okey-doke and start demandin' what's rightfully ours.
Real talk: AI can't replace a good teacher, period. And these kids deserve the best, not some half-assed, automated version of it. Keep it 100.
This is bigger than just some new tech. This about our kids, our community, our future. Don't let 'em play you.
