AI On the Block: Anthropic's Claude Mythos Exposes Mad Hacks, But Who's Really Protected?
This new AI findin' all kinda flaws in the system, but will it keep the streets safe or just line the pockets of big biz?

Aight, listen up. This Anthropic company, they cooked up this AI called Claude Mythos. Word is, this thing is a straight-up hacker's nightmare. It's findin' vulnerabilities in software that's been runnin' for decades, the kinda cracks that could let anybody snatch your data, drain your account, or worse.
But here's the real tea: they ain't droppin' this heat on the public. Nah, they handin' it over to cybersecurity firms and big tech companies. So, while they talkin' 'bout protectin' us, it feels more like protectin' their interests. It's the same old song and dance: tech bros gettin' richer while the community's left in the dust.
Mike Krieger from Anthropic Labs is out here sayin' they armin' folks "ahead of time." But who they really armin'? It ain't the folks gettin' hit with scams every day. It's the corporations who already got layers of security.
They found flaws that been chillin' for 27 years, untouched. That tells you how much they really care about the average user. If they did, they'd be pushing updates and patches, not gatekeepin' this AI. It’s straight-up capitalist gatekeeping.
Anthropic dropped a blog post warnin' about the cybersecurity risks. They sayin' AI can now outsmart most humans at findin' and usin' software flaws. But who benefits from keepin' that info locked down? It's a power move, plain and simple.
Project Glasswing, they call it. Sounds fancy, but it's basically a closed-door operation with CrowdStrike, Palo Alto Networks, Amazon, Apple, and Microsoft. Cisco and Broadcom are in the mix too. Big dogs only. Where's the representation for the hood? Where's the open-source community?
Anthony Grieco from Cisco is spillin' the usual corporate jargon about protectin' critical infrastructure. But ain't nothin' more critical than the people. Ain't nothin' more vital than making sure folks ain't gettin' their identities stolen and their livelihoods snatched up by cybercriminals.
This whole situation just shows how the tech world operates. They create the problems, then sell you the solutions, all while keepin' the real power in their hands. We gotta be smarter than that. We gotta demand transparency and accountability. We gotta build our own solutions, for us, by us. No cap.
