AI Comin' for Our Jobs, Frfr? UK Think Tank Sayin' We Need a Seat at the Table
Them bots ain't just gonna make life easier, they could leave folks jobless, so we gotta get organized and make sure we get our cut, ya dig?

Aight, so check it. This think tank over in the UK, the IPPR, they droppin' knowledge on how AI gon' change the game at work. And it ain't all sunshine and rainbows, ya feel me? They sayin' we gotta get our voices heard 'fore these corporations run wild with the robots and leave us all in the dust.
Word is, some folks already feelin' the heat. They got 20% of workers sayin' AI makin' they work life better, but 21% sayin' it's straight up makin' it worse. And check this, 4% think they already lost they jobs to the tech. That's some real sh*t right there.
They breakin' it down, sayin' AI can either 'augment' us (help us out), 'degrade' us (make our jobs wack), or 'displace' us (straight up replace us). We gotta be smart and make sure we ain't gettin' displaced, know what I'm sayin'?
Now, this IPPR, they ain't just talkin'. They sayin' companies need to talk to they employees 'fore they start rollin' out the AI. Like, frfr consult with the workers. And they talkin' 'bout a 'worker support levy' – basically, a fund that workers can use to get trained up, get union membership, or get insurance. So when the bots come for the job, we still straight.
The TUC homie, Paul Nowak, he dropped some real gems too. He sayin' we gotta shape this tech so it works for us, not just for the corporations. He even brought up the Industrial Revolution, sayin' workers got played back then 'til the labor movement stepped up. History repeats itself if we don't learn from it.
But the government, fronted by Rachel Reeves, all hype 'bout AI, callin' it the future and all that. But they gotta remember who really makes this country run. It ain't the bots, it's us. So, if they gon' push this AI thing, they gotta make sure we good too.
Yo, the streets been tellin' me that the Labour government been puttin' in some worker rights. But businesses already complainin' 'bout payin' us more. They always gonna complain about the price of labour going up, that's just how the capitalist game is played. They will always try to squeeze the worker as hard as possible, but there is no country without the worker, so we need to start acting like it.
Bottom line is, we gotta get organized. We gotta get our voices heard. We can't let these corporations run wild with the AI and leave us all holdin' the bag. It's time to level up and get our piece of the pie. No cap.
